Electrical Wire Crimpers
Wire crimpers, or wire strippers as they are sometimes called, make cutting electrical wire to length and installing connectors easy as pie. Well maybe not that easy but still pretty easy. Simple wire crimpers can be found at most tool stores but if you start searching it seems like the types and styles are endless. For working with factory style motorcycle connectors you want wire crimpers that have a certain style that folds the tabs of the electrical connector back in on themselves, below is a close up of the crimper’s teeth and common motorcycle electrical connectors that these crimpers work with.
Below I’ve linked to some wire crimpers that will work with these type of electrical connectors, as far as buying these connectors, you’ll have to go to your local dealership and order a connector kit from a supply company called K&L, this is the only way I’ve found to get a hold of some. If anyone knows of a better electrical connector supplier please let me know because these kits can be pricey and they want you to buy in bulk. Most dealerships wont let you buys in small quantities.
